Can someone please give me support updating my Pantone colors in illustrator. I have downloaded the Pantone color manager. I have used both "save as" and "export" to get the latest color book into illustrator. However colors that I can see in the Pantone color manager, like Pantone 2146 U, Still do not show up in the new color book in illustrator. I have tried everything and read everything online. Help!

I'm still unable to see many of the swatches in 336 color bridge uncoated. I've followed the steps. Tried to export from solid to LAB, from uncoated bridge to CMYK, I keep getting export failed. I've tried to "save as.." and Pantone Color Manager crashed.

Perhaps you should contact PANTONE for technical support.

I see now that this when exporting the colour book from Pantone  Colour Manager to Adobe Bridge, one  can now ensure that the Pantone Colour books can applied to all Adobe apps.

    Hi Srishti

I tried all of the above. Is it ok to do the following?

PANTONE Color Manager export failed or application not installed in Adobe products - Pantone.com

In some cases, the export paths within PANTONE Color Manager may differ from those that exist on your system. If this happens, you can use the following as an alternative method of exporting the libraries:

    • Launch PANTONE Color Manager.
    • Open the particular PANTONE library you wish to use, by going to View/Fandecks and selecting it from the list.
    • Go to File/Save As
    • Choose 'Desktop' for your location, choose the appropriate file type for the application in which you want to use the library, and choose L*a*b* as your color space (or CMYK for PANTONE COLOR BRIDGE libraries).
    • Click the 'export' button. The library is exported to your desktop.
    • Navigate to the file from within Illustrator or InDesign and open it. (this did not work as well)
    • If all else fails, copy and paste the .acb file in the colour books file for each application. (IS THIS OK??)

If you  installed correctly, you may just need to restart Illustrator, for that to show.

Yes the process is not very straightforward, but you will have the -V3 books installed.

There was a simple click you had to make to  towards the end that was not obvious, to get this installed, if you post a screenshot of how far you got,  we should be able to help you.
