I am immensely frustrated and disappointed. I have been an Adobe user for over a decade and am professional Graphic Designer. I am absolutely frustrated as to what is happening with my fonts. I never know what fonts are offloaded from my computer and when. This morning I used a font (New Atten) and when I went to go back and edit the file just a couple of hours later, the font had been fully offloaded. BUT if I go to adobe fonts, it still shows the font as active, so I have to remove the font and reinstall it and this freaks adobe out and it will sometimes take hours (2-4 HOURS) for the font to re-install on my computer.
Fonts aren't supposed ot offload unless you haven't used them in six months, but mine are offloading when I haven't used them in a few hours. I know I can get this fixed by uninstalling and re-installing my creative cloud, but I have to do this on a weekly basis, which then means all of my fonts are re-installed and uninstalled, taking hours again. It sucks up so much of my work time for something that used to work VERY well for a long time, and now I would rather use ANY font besides my adobe fonts because I never know if I will end up needing to troubleshoot my fonts for several hours and frankly I do not have time for that if I am on any deadline with a client. Does anyone have a solution to fix this in the long term? I have been dealing with these issues for almost a year and I am fed up.
I use Mac OS and am fully updated.

Hi @ivyd58534213,
Thanks for sharing your experience. I can completely understand how frustrating this must be. Could you confirm the exact version of Illustrator you're using and whether you're on macOS Tahoe 26.0? It will also help to know if what you're seeing looks similar to any of the issues discussed in these threads: https://adobe.ly/4gLCyCA and/or https://adobe.ly/48rOl7d.
In the meantime, please try signing out and back into the Creative Cloud desktop app and then clear your system font cache by following the steps in this article: https://adobe.ly/4h8XKmt. Once done, restart your machine and check if the problem continues.
Kindly confirm these details and let me know if the steps help, so I can check further.
Looking forward to your update.
Abhishek

Hi there!
Thank you so much for getting back to me! I am on MAC OS Seqouia 15.7.1 and running illustrator 29.8.2. My fonts are not being changed, they are just offloaded and not able to be used. I can see that they are active when I go to adobe fonts on browser, but they show as unavailable in my apps. Will run these troubleshooting steps as soon as I can and report back. Thanks!
