I have a i5 iMac at home and a i7 iMac at work. Adobe CC apps are very slow on the i5. Underpowered like the iPad 3.

    Hi Nikolausm,

You can find a list of minimum system requirements for Illustrator here: Adobe Illustrator system requirements

Everyone is going to have a slightly different opinion of what's optimal for working in specific apps. I would personally recommend 16GB of RAM if you're going to upgrade anything. 4GB of VRAM should be fine. You may want to upgrade if you plan on doing more video-intensive work in an app like Premire, or if you're gaming - the everyday user won't notice a difference otherwise.

Hope this helps! Let us know if you need any other assistance.

    Best,

    Wren
