Hello, I'm not sure if this is only me who get confused about these icon, or anyone else ever face this issue. I think these icon are showing wrong direction.

The icons are correct. Horizontal and vertical are the invisible axes with which objects are reflected.

Think about it as reflections in a mirror that is held horizontal or vertical.
