Relink all selected images at once

Howdy - a few years ago I dowloaded a script that would allow relinking of multiple images at once:-

1. Select all images that you want relinked over multiple artboards.
2. Choose 'Relink' from the links palette
3. Choose the image you want to relink from the place dialogue.
4. Done - all images replaced with the selected

At the moment I have to select the new image as many times as the amount of images I want to relink it which is a bit annoying to say the least.

Does anyone know of such a script? I can't find it for Illustrator any more.

Or am I missing something in my method?

Yes it is the same problem. I found that thread yesterday but unfortunately the script doesn't work in the current AI.
