Repeat mirror is not working

i select the object that i want mirrored, i go to object, repeat,mirror and nothing happens. i did the option, and selected mirror, and still nothing.

i did notice a red bounding box once selected, not sure if that is significant or if its always that color, never noticed before.

Create a symbol from your image and try it again with a symbol instance.

Repeat does not work with images, but when the image is a symbol, that works.

I think it is working as designed. What you are doing is getting a mirror image of your mirror image. In effect you are making a duplicate of the original exactly on top of hte original.

thats just the problem. I AM NOT getting a mirror image. yes i am aware of a mirror image, the problem is however, its not giving me a mirror image. thanks
