Question
Repeatable ways to crash Illustrator 28 on macOS Sonoma 14
Some of the repeatable ways Illustrator 28.0 crashes on macOS Sonoma 14.1.2:
- Crash on Keyboard Shortcuts dialog
- Open Illustrator
- Go Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts…
- Grab the scroll bar and try to scroll down
- Illustrator stalls
- Crash on Contextual Task Bar
- Open Illustrator with an empty new document
- Draw a simple rectangle and select it with a Selection Tool so that the Contextual Task Bar appears
- Select the More options menu (three dot menu)
- Select any of the commands from More options menu, all of which will immediately crash and quit Illustrator
Fixes I've tried with no effect:
- Restart Illustrator
- Restart macOS
- Reset preferences
- Clear Font Cache
- Uninstall Illustrator with its preferences and reinstall the latest version of Illustrator
