Resizing inner dimensions of a ring

Hi,

I am trying to see if there is a way to resize only the inner dimensions of an open object without altering the outer dimensions.

I would like the inner dimensions of this rope frame to meet the pink circle, but keep the outer dimensions where they are, without re-drawing the whole thing or warping it too much. Anyone know if this is possible?

Thanks!

In Adobe Illustrator you can easily do similar work with the BRUSH tool panel.

You can search for "ROPE TUTORIAL" on Youtube.

Is the rope a custom brush stroke? How is it built? Are they all individual shapes?

Unfortunately they are all individual shapes. the outer edges of each quadrant of rope are individual shapes, and the diagonal line details are grouped individual lines.

In that case forget about it.
