I am having so many problems with new Illustration, is not showing properly a file with multiples artworks. It shows me messages that I do not know what the mean.. This new Illustrator so far is a bummer.

I am not sure if the file is corrupted or not.. cause it shows everything so wrong. It moves the grafics away from the artworks is a total mess. It gives super strange percentage in "view", look the mess in the rulers. Also I have problems with saving files. Please can anybody give me tipos & and help?Screenshot 2025-09-01 at 9.48.13 PM.png

This certainly is strange! I do see you're zoomed out to .03% which is insane zoom! Can you click the place in the lower left of your screen, where it says .03% and change your view from there? It looks like you clicked Option+Command 0, or hit View>Fit All In Window. Changing your zoom in the View menu, or using that widget at the bottom should move you to normal view.

This looks like it might have been a page on which you'd maybe placed a bunch of elements and either didn't resize them down, or somehow got rid of the resizing. Another way they could have gone in at that size, is if you used drag and drop, instead of File>Place to get them on an artboard.

On this screen I can only make out 3 artboards that are not aligned with each other. Is this the same amount of artboards that show in your Window>Artboards panel, or are others hidden from view?

If this was what my screen looked like, I'd do my best to move and approximately resize whatever I needed to fit on any of my existing artboards (I'd even stack a bunch of things into ONE artboard, and then distribute them to new artboards that have the settings I want). Then, I'd likely use the Artboards tool with Shift to select multiples of the existing artboards, and then use the alignment options in my control bar (or Window>Align) to arrange the artboards and separate them out as needed - also resizing them to the dimensions I want. If I THEN needed more artboards, I'd make them and move my assets into them.

With so many things on here, it may also help to rename the appropriate layers and sublayers, so you know what's on each. Layer management is SO helpful here, especially when organizing things. I'm a big fan of the selection column, for moving things among layers. If you want to learn more about those, check out https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/using/layers.html

It would take some work, but then you can see everything on there, and not have to be sooooo very zoomed out - and you wouldn't have to start from scratch, and reimport everything. Of course, that's also an option, if you prefer. .

Thank you for taking the time to look up. Many crazy things happend, it changed the sizes of everything. believe me when I say I am not new in Illlustrator.. most of my sizes we instagram tipical sizes, 1080 px x 1350 or 1080 x 1920, and since I am designing the system I was doing them all together to keep consistency. Is something that I allways do... /BUT I've just remembered it did THE SAME crazy problems with sizes / rulers and views,  with a storyboard I have for an After Effect project, the size were 1920 x 1080, and it CHANGED all the artwork sizes , on the other adobe illustrator too (the one that has instagram sizes) and it gives this crazy ruler sizes , I try to put "Artwork rules" nothing changes. And in the case of  file with many instagram post it also moved the graphics away of each artwork, so is a complete mess. Screenshot 2025-09-02 at 12.52.41 AM.pngScreenshot 2025-09-02 at 12.57.18 AM.pngScreenshot 2025-09-02 at 12.59.02 AM.pngScreenshot 2025-09-02 at 12.59.25 AM.png

Also this message at the very bottom, I never had it, want to put it off, don't know how. But I guess is a problem with the RULE, the units, that conects with the "views" of course , but is practically unusable the illustrator for me. Tried to downlaod the Beta but it says "damage" thried 2 times, so now I am going back to the previus crossing my fingers I do not loose all the work.  Screenshot 2025-09-02 at 1.10.25 AM.png

This is a storyboard, when I created the artwork they were 1920 x 1080 points, now it has this crazy sizes, I did not change it, and then you get all this crazy things in the rules...Screenshot 2025-09-02 at 1.29.12 AM.png

Those rulers are for video. They appear when you create a new document based on a Film & Video preset.

If you use any other preset to base your new document upon, like Print, Art & Illustration, they are not there.

I do not mean the Safety guides.. you have when you make motion material,  I know about it and put it on purpose. I meant the UNIT RULE ! that is what goes crazy no matter if it is a printed file or a digital file like in this case. There is a huge problem with RULES / UNITS / ARTWORK is related. It changed my artwork size!!! that is really mega problematic. thanks for the answer

Ton , I jiust want to show that BOTH RULES, the one you have for the whole document, and the ones of the artwok selected itself ARE GOING CRAZY, that is why I my intuition tells me weather it is printing file or a digital file the file RULE / UNITS / ARWORK has a problem bug or whatever. Thank you for yr answer!

@caro_mm That looks strange. There have been more reports lately about strange dimensions.

https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator-discussions/issue-object-dimensions-become-huge-after-reo...

Does it happen with new documents? If not, can you copy and paste your content in a new document?

What is the version number you see in About Ilustrator?

The message you see at the bottom is the Help bar, you can turn it off in the View menu.

Hola Ton, thank you for feedback, I intalled the latest version, then I also installed the beta version... to try... and it shows the same problem. I am starting a new file with 1 artwork... cause I need to work. But later on I will if this has to do with having many artworks..  and then it gets crazy... Yeah I know I can copy paste the graphic and re-build it it just not good if the app gets unreliable... and I love Illlustrator was happy with the new artwork handlment... but again my guess is that it has to do with the Ruler units somekind of bug in that direction. I will read the link you sent. Must work! chau! thank you again
