Running Illustrator and Photoshop Causing Cursor Issues (Mac OS)

So I have had this problem for quite a long time, across multiple Mac OS updates as well as Creative Cloud updates. Whenever I am working in Illustrator and have a Photoshop window open behind my Illustrator window my cursor goes absolutely ballistic. What happens is that when my cursor is sitting idle, it will revert to the default Mac cursor. Only when I move the cursor will it switch back to the appropriate Illustrator cursor. This seems like a little enough problem, except for the fact that it makes it surprisingly difficult and frustrating to do even simple tasks in Illustrator such as resizing objects. It makes it difficult since the cursor will essentially become inactive anytime it is even remotely still.

This only happens when I have Photoshop running at the same time as Illustrator. But this is a very frustrating issue since most of my workflows involve moving between the two applications. I have had this problem for quite some time. Like I said before, it has persisted through multiple updates of CC and Mac OS. I would appreciate hearing if anyone else is having this problem, and if there is possibly a fix someone knows of. I would especially appreciate some attention from Adobe regarding this issue. I don't expect to have to deal with these sorts of serious bugs for such a long time when I pay so much for these apps every month. Thank you to anyone who is able to help!

Wow! Hit me right between the eyes! I will even start a new document (additional  layers) so hoping problems will go away. From everyhing working fine, the cursor is dead in fact will move the background instead of of the simple object IIm working on. If I four squares  (nothing is locked or grouped I can highlight maybe one square and have it deleted as instructed while the other squares appear to be frozen. When I'm on a schedule this is unsatisfactory. Thank you for bringing up the issue.

HI there,

Thanks for reaching out. Would you mind sharing version of OS and Illustrator?
Also, please share a small video of this workflow as well so that we may understand your concern better.
You may upload the video on Creative Cloud(or any other cloud storage) and share the link here. Looking forward to your response.

Regards,

Ashutosh

I am running MacOS Catalina Version 10.15.3 and Illustrator Version 24.0.3.

Here is a link to a quick screen capture of the problem I am referring to. You see I have Photoshop running behind Illustrator and it is causing the problems with the cursor.     Video: https://adobe.ly/37FfVuj
