Save Dialog Box isn't opening

Occassionally the Save dialog box will not open.  I cannot save my files at all when this happens. The only workaround is to close Illustrator and reopen it. However, doing this loses whatever work I was working on.  I am using version 26.3.1.

Hello shannons5998661,

Sorry to hear about this experience. I would request you try the following steps and share your observations:

• Close all Adobe applications

• Rename the UXP folder to UXP.old from the following locations:
  /Library/Application Support/Adobe/UXP
  ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/UXP

• Relaunch Creative Cloud and Illustrator

Note: Location starting with this "~" sign indicates the User Library, which is hidden. So, you need to copy & paste the exact path in spotlight search or from Finder Menu > Go > Go to Folder > Paste the location in the dialog box like this:

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks,

Anubhav

Did you already reboot and reset the preferences?

Which system is it?

Yes I restarted Illustrator and just did a quick update as well.  Now its up to most current version. But the updates do not seem to solve this problem.  My operating system is macOS Monterey Version 12.4.
