Why when I save an SVG file and close Illustrator are the paths different when I reopen it. I have been doing this work the same way for 6 months and all of the sudden with this current update my hours of work are completly useless.

You need to set higher Decimals in the export options.

SVG should never be a format for your work file. It's an export format only in Illustrator. Use AI as long as you work on the file.

Thanks for replying. So I do only save the SVG file so I can use it in my laser cutting software. I also save ai files with the svg for editing.  Only after this last update have I been seening this issue. I go back the the ai file and it's perfect. I save the svg and when I load it into the laser software or reopen the file in illustrator does not look the same.  I just tried saving it as a pdf and it's perfect. Only the svg is awful.
