Saving illustrator logo as separate layers for animation?

New Here ,
Feb 19, 2020 Feb 19, 2020

Firstly I apologise, I work in premiere pro almost exclusively and have very little knowledge of all the other programs. This made it almost impossible to search for my answer online.

I have had a logo made for me and with that I have the .eps file. In illustrator I've managed under 'Layer 1' I've managed to separate the components that make 'Layer 1' (see screenshot) but I am after having them firstly as indidvidial layers and secondely saving them individually for 'animating' in premiere.

Basically I want the elements of the logo flying in as a opening card - that part I can do

Any help would be greatly appreciated

If you need layers for each of your bjects use the command (from the Layers panel) Release to Layers (sequence).

You can have the layers in an AI file, but you can't access them in Premiere. That only works in After Effects.

You need to make sure that they are main layers, not sub layers.

Then save as AI (PDF compatible)

Import in After Effects as a composition.
