Hi
I have a created a gradient blend of 2 circles filled with colour and then used "replace spine" on a sort of spiral shape, the gradient work fine and looks how I want it but when I come to scale it one of the points goes wonky!
the image on left shows the desired effect image on right shows me scaling it!
any ideas, thanks in advance

Which version of Illustrator are you using?
Can you share a sample .ai file?

Hi Kurt & Mohammad
Thanks for the replies, I'm on the latest version I think CC 2017, and it is fine when I expand but was hoping to keep it 'live' to I could change colour etc easily!
thanks

That's why I asked if you can share the .ai file, so one can have a look if there are ways to achieve what you want.
Screenshots are good, but sample files are better.

Try using the Scale tool to scale the blend (instead of using the bounding box).
Or use the Effect > Distort and Transform > Transform effect to scale it. Or – probably better – make a symbol out of the blend, scale it and edit the symbol instance if you want to change the colours.

Thanks Kurt
Scale tool doesn't work for me, I had tried this and it still shifts that one point, Effect > Distort and Transform > Transform effect works ok I guess, will look at the symbol option,
I thought it may have been something simple but its really strange as it even happens sometime when i copy and paste the shape!
cheers

Did you use the genuine Scale tool (default shortcut to activate it is the S key)?

Expand the blend before scaling Object -> Expand
if that did not help, please show a screenshot with an outline view with ( ctrl + Y )

So if you release the blend, scale it up like you traditionally would, then reapply the blend, it seems to work fine. It's just the math gets wonky trying to scale the blend.
So if you just use the quick key to make blend and release blend, then scale between those moments, it seems to work fine for me.
Or as mentioned by others, the Scale Tool seems to work fine.

Thanks Mark
I just tried releasing the blend, scaling and re-blend, its a bit of a faff but works fine!
