I have some scripts in Illustrator I use. But each time AI is updated, I need to copy the scripts from previous version to new. Is there an another way to do this? I have tried to add Additional plug-in folder in AI-preferences, but did not work.

Hi @keberg-dagbladet, please read the answer to this thread. It talks about using shortcuts or symlinks. Not ideal I know. I would prefer Adobe allocate an independent script folder in addition to the scripts folder of the installed versions. Hopefully someone has some better news.

Unfortunately, there is no centralized way for AI to organize scripts and plugin files.
If you're on a Mac, I recommend the cp command via Terminal, which is more convenient than copying folders manually.
sudo cp -rf /Applications/Adobe\ Illustrator\ 2023/Presets.localized/en_US/Scripting /Applications/Adobe\ Illustrator\ 2024/Presets.localized/en_USJust update the folder names as desired before executing.

I keep a backup of all these items and Option-drag a copy form my backup to the new app.
Atleast plugins and workspace have gotten better at importing during updates, as was deep diving to get to the workspaces.
