Select Same Fill between Clip groups?

I am having an issue where I am unable to select the objects of the same fill color and I think it's because each object is in it's own clip group?

I want to select all of the green bits of this pattern to change the color, but It doesn't seem to be working like the tutorials and videos show. Is is because of the layer and grouping hierarchy? Each green object is in it's own little clip group in the red clip group.
