Selecting guides makes them disappear

Every time I try to select my guides with the selction tools, they vanish. They only reappear when I deselect them. I know they're selected becasue I can move them manually with my coursor, but I can't see them move. Can't see them at all. Any ideas how I can fis this?

    Resetting Preferences should work, but first:

    • Go to Preferences > Guides and see if anything unusual is set there
    • Is this in all documents or just one?
    • Is it the same if the guides are on a different layers?
