Hi

I want to sell digital product on Etsy, Like Thank you card template. I will design a digital product and sell it like PDF or SVG on Etsy. Can we use Adobe fonts when I make thank you card template because I can sell 100 PDF thank you cards template to diffrent clients. Is Adobe allowing us to do that?

Thanks

I'm not referring to what Adobe allows people to do in a PDF. It's just that your customers might open the PDF in an application that needs the fonts if they are not outlined. So you better outline the text. That way it doesn't matter which app your customers use - the text will always look the way it has been intended to.

It doesn't matter to how many people you seel your designs. As long as you have a valid license of Creative Cloud, you can use the fonts to create artwork with them. You are not allowed to give font files (TTF or OTF) to anyone, but it's technically impossible anyway.

Thank you very much Monika

I see , I was a little worried that Adobe maybe don't allowed me to sell a PDFs file( a designed digital Thank you card template) to many people because of their fonts. I will outline the text like you said.

Thank you very much for your help.

However, people who buy a template expect to be able to edit the text. If you outline the fonts they will be upset and want their money back.

Hi

I see. I will try to sell templates that they don't need to edit something or I can use the free fonts that everyone can use it.

thank you

Do your customers need to write something using the fonts?

That is technically impossible if they don't have an Adobe subscription.

When selling SVGs you will need to outline the fonts before saving as SVG, otherwise it won't work.

While technically not necessary I would do the same before saving a PDF, because you can't know which application your customers use for printing the PDF.

Hi Monika Gause

I will put the design ( thank you card template or habit tracking) in a pdf file on my Etsy Shop and the customers will just download the pdf file and print it . I wonder because when I put pdf file like (for ex habit trackings design ) can 100 diffrent coustumer buy the same design and i don't know if it is ok for adobe when we make digital prodct and sell it like pdf file . Anyway my coustmer will not be allowed to write something in file just they will downlowd it and then they will prinit the pdf file in their home and use it in their life.

I did not make any SVGs file yet but i want to do that. I want to make just digital product an sell it on Etsy it is easy and we make ones and then maybe 1000 customers buy the same digital product ( like thank you card teamplate).

As i understod you that Adobe don't allow customers edit something in PDFs file but they don't have any problem with pdfs file if the customers will just print it without the ability to make any editing. I wondered because the same PDF will be sell to maybe 100 customers.

Thanks
