setting a width profile to default?

New Here ,
Mar 03, 2018 Mar 03, 2018

There is a specific width profile that I use a lot. Is there a way to set it to default? I am doing a lot of short lines with it and its a hassle to change them every time I make them and it also wouldnt be practical to drag and select because I dont want every line to be the same. Is there a better way to do this? The eye dropper tool doesnt copy the width profile styles either and its starting to drive me crazy having to change all these little lines as I draw.

Thanks.

Sounds as if you draw a line and apply a profile. When you draw the next line, the profile is reset and the line has the default uniform profile, which is what you don't want.

If that applies, then just go to the Appearance palette menu and disable the New Art Has Basic Appearance setting.

Have you tried setting it as a Graphic Style and applying it that way?

Save it as a new profile. Give it a name that you remember! it is application based! will stay there until you delete it!

It is also an appearance!!!
