I have been using the share for review feature with an Ai document that is saved locally on my desktop hard drive. Everything has been going smoothly unitl one day when the link dissapeared in Ai and all the thread comments were gone. I can still access the comments from past emails and from my CC account online, but not from within Ai.

Is there any way to get Ai to re-link to a prerviously shared document so I don't have to start over with the client and send a new link?

I should add that I did not close and re-start Ai before the problem occurred. One minute it was there, the next minute it was gone.

Hello @Hazlip Creative,

We understand that encountering technical issues can be frustrating. Would you mind sharing more details, like the OS/Illustrator version installed, any recent changes made to Illustrator, if your file is still showing up under Cloud Documents, and a link to the file (https://adobe.ly/3OTOINc), so I can check it with the team?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,
Anubhav

Thanks for getting back to me. Ai version 28.5 running on iMac OS Ventura 13.6.3 .

No recent changes to Ai. I had the document open, switched workspaces to check email and when I switched back to the Ai workspace, the share link was gone, the comments were gone, the people I shared the file with were gone as if I had never shared it before.

The documetn is not a cloud document, how can I send you a link privately?

Hi @Hazlip Creative,

Thank you for providing additional details. It sounds like a perplexing issue, indeed. Just to clarify, are you using the beta version of Illustrator? The current public version is 28.3, which is recommended for production work, as beta versions may sometimes encounter unexpected issues like the one you're experiencing.

Regarding sharing the file, you can upload it to Dropbox, Google Drive, or a similar service and generate a public link for review. Once you have the link, you can share it with me via direct message. You can send the DM by clicking on my profile picture and then selecting the "send a message" option.

Also, share the share for review published link from here (https://adobe.ly/3UXaiE8) and the one you share with your client.

I appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this issue for you.

Best regards,

Anshul Saini
