Shortcut for Aligning Objects to Artboard Center

New Here ,
Sep 20, 2025 Sep 20, 2025

Hi everyone,

I’ve been working with Illustrator for a long time, and one feature I still wish existed is a quick shortcut to center objects directly to the artboard. For example, in CorelDRAW, pressing P instantly aligns any selected object to the center of the page/artboard — such a simple time-saver.

I know we can use the Align panel to align to the artboard, but it feels like too many clicks when you’re doing it repeatedly.

Is there already a hidden shortcut for this that I’ve overlooked? If not, I’d like to suggest that Adobe consider adding a built-in shortcut. It could really speed up workflows.
Thanks!

Hi @sofokliss14472574 you can record an action and assign a shortcut.

you could also assign shortcut keys to vertical and horizontal align center, for example to 8 and 9 or some other characters you don't use as much and you wouldn't mind sacrificing.
