Silhouette connect plugin not working - Illustrator 2024

Community Beginner ,
Jul 20, 2024 Jul 20, 2024

I am trying to setup the Connect plugin for Illustrator but for the life of me cannot get past the plug in issue warning that keeps popping up (image attached). I have uninstalled both apps and reinstalled with the latest versions, upated my computer and made sure everything is compatible.

I'm currently running macOS Sonoma 14.5, Illustrator 2024 v.28.5, and Connect V1.7.791. I've also attached pictures of the installation process of Connect which says its successfully installed? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Is the plugin supposed to run with that version?

Hello @Veronica31324060xgw3,

Thanks for reaching out. Would you mind downloading the latest version of the Silhouette Connect plugin (https://adobe.ly/4fgsL6i), as Monika suggested, to see if it helps?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Anubhav

Hello @Veronica31324060xgw3,

Thanks for sharing the details. It could be possible that there is a compatibility problem (https://adobe.ly/3Wz03GG). Would you mind checking this with the Silhouette support team (https://adobe.ly/3Wz03Xc) to check if they can help you out with this? Feel free to reach out if you have more questions or need assistance. We'd be happy to help.

Thanks,
Anubhav

Hint - (on the Mac, for Creative Cloud) - need to run Illustrator 2024 in Rosetta mode for the Silhouette Connect plug-in to work.  You can do this from the Creative Cloud app, go the the Apps section, make sure you have Illustrator v 28.??? (I have 28.7.4) installed, within the Ai Illustrator (v 28....) box click on the three dots, click on "Open in Rosetta".
