Simplify Proofing Process - Seeking ideas

I'm trying to figure out a more efficient way to do proofs for my customer. My current process is copy the artwork, dump it in a PDF template, send the PDF, do revisions on the original, dump it again in the PDF....... etc. It's tedious and prone to errors. 

In a perfect situation, I'd like to create the art in Illustrator, and click a button and it creates the proof for me. I'm not familiar with writing scripts for adobe, but wouldbe willing to hire someone to set this up for me. But perhaps there is already soemthing that I haven't discovered yet?

Sending proofs means what?

Having a proofing block in the file? Can you show a screenshot of that specific PDF you are sending?

I send my customer a copy of the artwork to review and approve before it goes to print. Attached is an example of the PDF I use. I manually copy and paste the artwork in the proof.

You can place your AI file into another AI file.

Or you can create an artboard inside the work file that contains those blocks. And then use symbols.

Facing the same issus regarding the file blocking, i have created the file for my website related but couldn't get it properly due to blockage.
