Hello. So I have this problem with Illustrator for no reason whatsoever. I was working on a project and then the Navigator Panel (The window where you can drag a red square to move across the workspace quickly) started to malfunction by not moving on the direction I'm moving the window and this persisted even when I closed the program and turned off my computer. I have no idea how or why this happened.
If this has ever happened to you, here's how I fixed it:
On the upper right side corner of the window, there are 4 horizontal lines (For the options menu)
Simply click on it and toggle the "View artboard contents only" off and on again. It should fix the problem right away.
If this doesn't work for you or you happen to know how or why this happens, please let me know.
Cheers.

"Has the slider been removed or is there a glich? "
No, it is not a glitch, the slider has been removed since a couple of years.
But you can zoom to selection.

Hi there,
Thank you so much for sharing this here. This may help other users as well. Unexpected behavior may indicate damaged preferences. In case you see any such behavior in future, you can also try resetting preferences for Illustrator: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/illustrator/using/setting-preferences.html
Please note that resetting preferences will remove all the custom settings and Illustrator will launch with default settings. You can also take a backup of the folders in case you want to. Location is mentioned in the article.
Regards,
Srishti

I have a different navigator panel issue. I have the very latest version of illustrator that I subscribed to online two days ago. My navigator panel has no slider to increase and decrease zoom. It does have the big mountains and the small mountains and the drop-down menu but no slider on the panel. It is the slider that I have used for many years. Has the slider been removed or is there a glich?
