Slow performace

I have the same problem in both Illustrator and Photoshop, especially when using any kind of effects. I have tried changing the performance settings, resetting preferences, and even re-installing the programs.  I currently have a 32GB RAM installed, will it help if I install  more RAM?

Hi. Please check if your computer meets the recommended system requirements for each application. Keep in mind the ram is not the only variable that affects the computer performance: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/system-requirements.html

Hello @gerdad41059502,

Sorry to hear about this experience. I would request you to share the details of the GPU installed on your system as that might be slowing down work in Photoshop & Illustrator, as suggested by Marliton.

Also, try updating the drivers for your GPU by following the steps shared in this article: https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/update-graphics-driver.html and share your observations.

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks,

Anubhav
