Smart Guide Line Extension not snapping

I recently updated to Illustrator 2025 and since doing so, when I go to extend a line by dragging an anchor, it is no longer snapping to the "Line Extension". I have verified that the correct preferences are checked under Preferences> Smart Guides> Anchor/ Path Labels.

Any help on this would be great thanks!

Correct answer Kurt Gold

As far as I can see the issue has been fixed in the latest Illustrator version 29.0.1.

Hello @Rosie30950314s3uj,

Sorry to hear about your experience. Would you mind sharing more details, like the OS/Illustrator version and a screen recording of your workflow and the problem, so we can better assist you?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Adobe added new features but got rid of old ones that were perfectly functioning, now I can't cleanly extend any angled lines unless I have to go for a longer procedure. Instead of making things easier they make it harder to work. We need the Line Extension function running again.
