Snap to Document Bounds / Artboards

Please add 'Snap to Document Bounds, just like in Photoshop.

Even with Smart Guides switched on, Ai does not snap to the corners and edges of an Artboard, which is a must have for accurate work.

I get snapping at artboard edges (smart guides say 'page'). What kind of object are you trying to snap and what exact operation fails for you?

Turning on smart guides worked well. Thank you. Still wish there was a snap to artboard or snap to bleed option.

Correct, but I do not use Smart Guides in complex artwork, since it is not very helpful. I would like to have Snap to Document Bounds as a separate setting, just like in Photoshop.

Please post feature requests to illustrator.uservoice.com

In the meantime: If you grab the artwork with the selection tool at a point that should snap, then it will work.

If this doesn't work for you, please create a new thread and describe your situation as precisely as possible.

Version, system and your input device. Exactly how are you moving the object around. If the Smart guides do not show at all, turn off Snap to grid.

I also have this problem. For example, smart guides do not show when I want to snap to the edge of the artboard in Illustrator or the edge of the file in Photoshop. Guides can snap to edges, but even with the guides, the rectangle shape just ignores the edges. I can't get it to snap to the edge, even with the guide in Illustrator.
