Sort layers by colour

Each layer has one path item with one colour in it.

Is it possible to sort the layers by the colour of the path item they have?

And how exactly would 'sort by color' work? alphabetical order, rainbow spectrum… Sure you should be able to sort the layers but a 'by method' would be needed…
