Spell checking defaults

Does anybody here know how to turn these menu options off by default, when I relaunch Illustrator CC 2015.3 they revert back to switched on.

In old versions of Illustrator there used to be an Ait user preferences file, where specific 'user' preferences could be customised.

Any help would be appreciated.
