Spinning Beach Ball / Hang after every action Illustrator CC

Hi,

I've been having this problem consistently for months now, recently I resorted to contacting adobe customer support, they only deleted my preferences and within an hour the problem had returned. I have since tried downgrading to cc2018 and even cc2017 and the problem persists. GPU preview makes no difference and deleting prefs only temporarily fixes it. This doesn't seem to affect all illustrator files, just the ones I work on regularly which contain multiple art boards and multiple links to the same file, all links are stored locally.

My System is as follows -

iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015

3.3 GHz Intel Core i5\

32 GB 1867 MHz DDR3

AMD Radeon R9 M395 2048 MB

This is going on for literally months and adobe customer support hasnt helped, I have seen numerous threads with similar problems and tried all suggestions usually related to network issues, and nothing has fixed it. If anyone has any suggestions please help, this is causing serious problems with my workflow and daily stress, thanks adobe (their customer support twice failed to diagnose and fix the problem)

How to fix the issue of Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app not opening or showing a spinning progress wheel

Go to last option delete OOBE. Make sure you Quit Creative Cloud desktop app from the three vertical dots icon at the upper-right corner (Or else your old settings from Ram will be put back). This is not guaranteed to fix your issue, but has helped many others, and cannot hurt your install.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling in the following manner?:

In the app section of your Creative Cloud desktop app click on the “V” next to the app’s (Illustrator) name and choose the “Uninstall” option from the pull-down menu that appears. After you’ve run the uninstall then use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems  . Then reinstall the program through the Desktop app. Before you reinstall, once again trash all preference files to make sure that your install is completely clean. Then launch Illustrator and see if the problem persists.

Do you have the Dictation feature in your Mac turned off?

Is a printer connected?

Where do you save your files?

Any third party plugins ? System plugins?

What else is currently running on the machine?
