Adobe Illsutrator and Photohsop will intermittently save without the .ext

Clients will not be able to open files without .extention

I should not have to manually change every extention

when I am saving and a PNG add .PNG to my file

when I am saving and a GIF add .GIF to my file

when I am saving and a AI add .AI to my file

when I am saving and a JPG add .JPG to my file

etc...

Please upldate your software, it's been 20 years and you still have the same bugs!

how this happened with you? when you save an ai file, .ai will be added automatically.

when you export to PNG or JPG it will be added also, you dont have to add it manually!!

Try typing just a name in the filename and it wont automatically add your extention.

This is something you shouldn't have to worry about if your already specifying the filetype.

I use the latest updated Adobe software, I have three mac pros. I save files constantly and 1 out of every 20 has no extention. Clients will say I can't open the files, so I save to change the name to .whatever and then it works.

Thanks, but it's not me or my computers, this has been happening for over a decade.

It's definately a software bug.
