Question

Stop opening browser from keyboard shortcuts

I cant tell you how aggravating this gets to be. I'll be working on something and as usual my free hand is running the keyboard and right in the middle of something my browser opens. Trying to get to some Adobe help page or something. If I want to open web pages I will open them myself.

Is there any way to stop illustrator from doing this. It is incredibly disruptive to my work flow. I really, really hate it.

Not hitting any F keys but I couldn't say for sure what keys I' m hitting because I'm not looking at the keyboard when It happens. Though sometimes it happens when switching between tools such as the  Hand tool and the select tool (black arrow). If I switch tools and click on the art work immediately and it doesn't change and thin I click again it will open the browser instead of changing tools. In any event I want to disable any function that opens a browser it's stupid and I don't need it.

Yes that would be very aggravating. Does the same exact page come up as if you were to hit f1?  Then I have the4se suggestions:

You may have something running in the background that is hitting F1, especially if you are on windows.

edit >> keyboard shortcuts >> menu commands >> help and remove the F1 key.

(sorry cannot post a screenshot, the website has techncial issues will try later)
