No matter what I try this panel keeps opening. I don't even have it on the panel group. I also created a new workspace without it and it still opens!!!! It is so annoying.....

You can make it a habit to switch between Fill and Stroke in the Toolbar by pressing X.

There is no solution. Other than pressing X to switch fill and stroke.

This accepted answer, while super helpful, sadly is not working. I have done this and the color panel still pops up anyway. Quite annoying.

Same here. Replying to refresh this post as "Auto-show" doesn't work. Stacey did you find a solution?

Thanks guys. It's lunacy that I should get in the habit of pressing an extra key to avoid something opening!

I found a ridiculous workaround. Just position the colour window so far down on the bottom right of my screen that it's barely there hahaha

I thought there were other instances where the color panel was auto opening but after playing with it I can't recreate it so the X key is a work around. Thanks!

It's insane. I did try and build the X button habit but it's weird that, instead of giving us the option to keep it closed, we have to train new habits to make it work.
