Struggle with filling a 'shape-builder' object

I'm having issues with filling shapes that I've made via multiple lines using shape builder tool, it always leaves these gaps. I've tried making it a compound path, however it doesn't work. Any solutions?

you are using objects with Fills and strokes, I usually use only Fill with and No stroke when using the Shape builder tool, however if I want to use stroke I convert it to outlines ( object -> path -> outline stroke ) which will simplifies the prcoess.

 

Press cmd + Y to see the object in the outline mode.

if the path is open,  press cmd + j  ( join ) will close the path.
