SVG exported text object loses layer name

SVG Export does not preserve text item names. I have of course enabled Object IDs: Layer Names, and other types of objects receive their layer names as an id attribute. This includes Groups, but unfortunately not Text, which unfortunately is breaking our SVG pipeline. Our current workaround requires me to create a Group for each object, which is requiring a prohibitive amount of manual work.

Can anyone from Adobe confirm this, and/or offer a solution? Using Illustrator 22.0.1 on Mac.

BTW I have confirmed that this bug occurs with an otherwise empty Illustrator document.
