SVG transparency issues in Illustrator

I downloaded an SVG area chart and opened it in Illustrator, then copied and pasted it into an existing Illustrator template. The solid areas of the chart are partially transparent, and I cannot find a way to make them solid. Both the color and transparency windows indicate that the areas are solid, but they're not. How do I convert these areas to solid color? Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Correct answer Monika Gause

The transparency might be applied to the layer, the object or its single fills/strokes.

You could check in the Appearance panel.

Thank you, Monika! I was able to make the adjustment in the Appearance panel, as you suggested. Enjoyed your video, also! Thanks again, much appreciated.
