Hello,
Possibly an amateur question, but I'm having trouble finding out why my symbol's bounding box is so much larger than my object. I'm not seeing any stray nodes or anything. I even deleted the drop shadows and any effects to see if that was causing it. Any suggestions are much appreciated!
I went back and tried it all again, it appears to be the texturizer expanding the bounding box. Don't know why I didn't catch that before!

Please go into symbol editing mode and show how the symbols are built.
Or better: share the AI file. You need to rename the file extension to .PDF to do so.

The symbol has blur applied to some elements. Also: there is a rectangle in it that is invisible. But of course the bounding box will reflect all that.

The box is there for me to see if the bounding box would shrink down to that size. Even when I removed the blur, the bounding box remained as large as it was so I didn't see that as the problem.

My photos above reflected that invisible box, which is much smaller than the bounding box.

Forgot the photo, but this is it with the gaussian blur turned off, which is still much larger than the invisible box I have for reference.

Because of the live effects, the bounding boxes for each item (the two circles and the texturizer on the band) are larger to accommodate them. Select your symbol and Expand it; that should shrink it.
