Synced fonts from Typekit showing up with asterisk ("Missing Glyph?")

Hello,

I'm very frustrated as this has happened twice now.  I have synced "missing fonts" which weren't missing 2 months ago on the same program.  After syncing all ProximaNova fonts they still didn't correct themselves as they are showing a light red highlight on them and an asterisk at the right side in the font drop down menu.

What does this annoying asterisk mean?  I made sure they were synced in typekit and I also restarted illustrator, still the same issue.

A potential job hangs on the line because of this issue, please help!!

Thanks,

Aaron

have you try manually resolving the font issues by using the find font dialog and doing a replace from there?

Yes I did try to manually resolve the fonts and it still comes up with asterisk and red highlight..
