Teacher Certification

I am a teacher of 10+ years. I taught Photoshop a few years ago, took Certification exam and passed my first try. I was asked this past year to teach Illustrator. It has not been a good year for my health, I have A.D.D, then caught COVID twice and was out for my father’s care and passing. I did try my best three times with my COVID Fog to pass the exam. Each time I miss by only a few, all scores over 600.  I had over 50% in all categories, 80% in one and even scored 100%.

The students that I taught took and passes their exam, I keep beating myself up why I couldn’t. But it does have to do with my medical issues.

My question is,

Is there a “Certificate “ I can be issued so I do not lose my job? I can provide the transcripts from the three exams as proof that I am competent in each section.

There are test prep training centers, one is called New Horizons.  There may be others.  Do a search for something available in your area or online.

Your school might give you a waiver, sort of a grace period until you can pass certification. I would consult with whoever may be able to help you make that happen.  Many, many users have difficulties with certification.  The key is to keep trying and be persistent. In the meantime, absolutely show your test results and do not give up.

Thank you, I am trying!  Hoping the Doc will help with the Brain fog issue and the ADD.  I do not take anything for it, have been against it but guess my job requires it now.
