Template Not showing up in CC Files.

Hi All.  I cannot see my .ait files when i open Illustrator.  In Recent i can of curse see all my recent work. but when i go to CC Files the Templates do not display.  I have uploaded them to the Creative Cloud Files folder and synced my files up but they still do not display in the list.

Do other filetypes appear in the CC Files section?

Confirming I am getting the same for CC2017 on mac. .Only .ai files show under recent, not .ait. Not really sure how the CC FILES option works as I only get 1 file there, and makes no sense to me at this time.

Copy your .ait file here

\Applications\Adobe Illustrator CC 2017\Cool Extras.localized\en_US\Templates

then click more and templates and that should show up.

This is what i've been doing since the ait is not shown in my CC list. I'll mark this correct for now because it is a type of solution.

I also don't see .ait template files in the CC section, but I cannot see them in the Recent section of the Start Workspace either.
