Text not showing up in illustrator

First issue with the placeholder text I sorted. Second issue is that there is no text at all now when I open a text box it will not show any text I type. Please help.

What OS & Illustrator version?

Is your OS & hardware meeting the system requirements?

What font are you using is it opentype technology or the old type 1 which will no longer work.

Reinstall App

Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner to fully remove your app & prefs then reinstall
