When I use the text to vector graphic AI tool in Adobe Illustrator, why is my selected space filling in with black colour instead of generating the vector as per prompt?

I have exactly the same problem!
I'm going to try uninstalling version 28.1 to install 28.0 and see if it works...

but it's super frustrating! I wanted to save time creating my icons, but in the end... I'm losing time!

Hi @abhiramirrao @maevag92612380

We are sorry for this experience. The product team is aware of the issue and is investigating the issue on priority. The product team has requested the performance log for further investigation. Here are the steps to share the performance log:

  • Close Adobe Illustrator > Launch Command Prompt > Paste the following command and hit Enter set AI_ENABLE_LOGS=1 && "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator 2024\Support

On Mac, launch the app from the Terminal app: AI_ENABLE_LOGS=1 "/Applications/Adobe Illustrator 2024/Adobe https://adobe.ly/3SqmJ8T Illustrator"

  • Launch Illustrator and start using Text to Vector, and the logs then shall be accessible at
    Windows: %appdata%\Adobe\Logs\Adobe Illustrator\28.0\Adobe Illustrator\AIPerformance.log
    Mac: ~/Library/Logs/Adobe/Adobe Illustrator/28.0/Adobe Illustrator/AIPerformance.log

  • Upload this AIPerformance.log file to Google Drive/Dropbox and share a public download link here so that we can share it with the product team.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work towards a solution.

Best,

Anshul Saini

Hey, I think that may be the issue. My laptop is a MacBook Pro (macOS Monterey Version 12.0.1). Is there any way to resolve this issue?

It seems to be solved for some in the beta version.
