The top panel buttons become unclickable.

The buttons on the top panel (File, Edit, Object etc.) become unclickable in a random moment, and you need to restart the program again to make it active again. I have a MacBook Pro 2021.

Has anyone had this problem and know how to fix it? Thanks a lot.

Going into safe mode can clear up issues like this.

To enter safe mode

Press and hold the Power button until you see the startup options. Then, select your startup disk. Press and hold the Shift key and click Continue in safe mode. Release the Shift key and log into your Mac.

Hello @Emilikano,

Would you mind trying to run Illustrator under Safe Mode (Windows / macOS), as suggested by Mike, and checking if it helps? Also, try running Illustrator under a different administrator account (Windows / macOS) and share your observations.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Anubhav

Do you have any of the apps: Rectangle, Magnet or Proofpoint?
