Question

There isn't enough available memory (RAM) - I only have 64GB???

I'm getting this error message even though I have 64GB of RAM. It happens when I try to do Inflate in 3D and Materials.

I have tried what was suggested by the help which is:

  1. Update Illustrator to latest version
  2. Reset Illustrator Preferences
  3. Choose a Plug-ins & Scratch Disk with enough space (205GB on C: and 807GB on D:)
  4. Update graphic card drivers and operating system

The file is only 25MB and is an svg file originally made in Canva at about 3000px x 3000px with about a dozen small graphic elements in it.

Does someone know how to fix this issue?

"We've hit a roadblock! There isn't enough available memory (RAM). Try to update Illustrator and your graphics card to the latest version and restart you computer.

There is not enough memory available to process the appearance of an object."

"only 25 MB" 0> this is quite large for an Illustrator file.

And actually it can't be "a dozen small graphic elements in it"

So what is it that you want to inflate? Please show it and please do also show the outline view.

In order to figure out the artifact please upload the AI file to Dropbox or the like and post a link. It can happen because of complexity but might also be caused by something in your file.

The snowman is not vector art. You need to draw it using shapes.

I think the snowman is vector art. It was brought in as an svg. How can I tell if it vector or not?
