I just did an update for Illustrator and the artboard box has a much thicker stroke/border. Any solutions to this? Its very distracting to have a thicker art board outline.

Hi @chris_4118 and everyone,
Thanks for bringing this up. I can see how the thicker artboard border after the update can be distracting while working. I'm currently checking this behavior with the product team and will share an update here as soon as I hear back from them.
Appreciate your patience in the meantime!
Abhishek
Hi @chris_4118 and everyone,
Thanks for your patience. I checked with the product team, and this change to the artboard border was introduced intentionally in the latest update. However, based on user feedback, the team is already exploring alternative options to make it less distracting. I'll share more updates here as soon as they become available.

I concur. Thicker artboard board is clunky and distracting - never has a problem identifying active artboard before.

Has this ever been updated? I feel like I'm gonna lose it checking every artboard closely to make sure all my images are actually bleeding to the edges/any black strokes I DO add are correct in weight....when I was first forced to update and saw the black strokes on the artboard, I rolled back to the last version and that worked for awhile until it forced me to update again. Rolled back again and turned off automatic updates, but it somehow still forced it's way upon me. I can't escape the madness.

I completely agree with this. It's far too distracting.

Do Adobe test their software before rolling it out? This is not a feature; it's a bug—so please fix it. If you can’t do that, roll back to the previous version.
Is this an issue that only affects macOS and Retina Displays?

Hello guys,
I agree - the latest artboard edge line is way too thick and very distracting
The solutions coming up are to hide artboards, but I think Adobe should revert back to the old thickness of view
OR
Allow users to adjust that artboard edge thickeness themselves

my fix was just going back to the previous version of illustrator the unwanted thick border was instantly awful and and OCD wouldnt let it slide.
