Tools aren’t selectable in tool bar

Hi everyone, 

 

I'm trying to teach myself how to vectorize my drawings in illustrator. I've been following some tutorials online, but keep getting stuck because I'm not able to access some of the tools referenced in the tutorials. When I try to access "all tools" in the tool bar...I keep finding that all the tools are "grayed" out. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

It is grayed out because it is exist in your bar.
There are many tools groups, you can find it in one of these group depending on the job of the tool.
All tools that has a small arrow at the right bottom, It is a tools group.
You can Click & Hold on it to open this group Or Alt+Click on it.
