Transform compound path to ONE "normal" path

Hi community,

need some help. I have to copy some paths from Illustrator to After Effects.

When i copy the compound paths, i have around 8 path objects, the extrusion in AE only extrude the first path. The problem is that after the import of the conpound path alls the pathes are on different mask layers.

--> so my exact question: is it possible and when yes how is it possible to transfrom the compound path to one path objekt?

...and no i can't change the path objects becaus eits a customized lettering and the pathes has to be like this - so i have to convert that before i copy it to AE.

That would be the compound path.

So you've run out of options from the Illustrator side. Maybe ask in the After Effects forum how to handle it?
