Transparent PNG background is black on PC, not MAC

Hi All

I recently provided logos to a client and for the first time, the trans PNG files are coming up with black backgrounds for them (not transparent).

They are on PCs. When they attach the file to me, it comes up as transparent on my Mac.

I exported using the Asset Export panel, selecting PNG and background colour 'transparent'.

Help, i'm stumped!

What is the purpose you have provided the file for?

If this is for the web and office, PNG might be ok. But if they want to print it, save as PDF/X-4 and use that.

Hi Will

I've given them various formats for different uses. These PNG formats are for the web and office.

Hey,

I have the same issue, except that I'm on a windows 10 computer, using Illustrator to save an image with a transparent background. It looks great in applications and websites, and in Illustrator, but when I view it in windows or use it to be a desktop background, the transparency becomes a black background. Super frustrating. I've been googling it for a while and have not found a solution.  Would be very grateful for any help.

Exact settings, screenshots, System info, info on what they are using to view and use those files. Sust saying that it doesn't work is not useful. For all we know they are dumping this in some old version of Internet Explorer and then of course it inevitably would not work.
