type on path start points

After i move a start or end point the handle disappear. If i move the selected path and type they reappear.

I believe what you are seeing is standard behaviour: To see the in and out ports on the path, you'd need to select the path with the Selection tool:

When you are typing on the path they indeed disappear:

This is not the correct answer, not even remotely the issue I am having. Once I move a start or end point I can not move them again unless I move the selected object.

Which version of Illustrator are you using?  I'm unable to replicate the behaviour in Adobe Illustrator CC (2017), 2017.1.0 Release. E.g. if I edit text on a path and then select the path again, I can move the in/out port positions.

Have you tried restoring the Illustrator preferences?

If that doesn't work, are you able to share a screenshot of the behaviour you are seeing?

I see what you mean, but you can still move them by using the part below the baseline, after the top part has disappeared.

You are right they are there but on my screen they are so small I had to zoom in really tight to see them.

Also I am working on larger circle is 48" when I use a smaller circle they are plenty big enough
