Typefaces with accents? (~'^ etc)

Hi,

Can anyone tell me how to see if a certain typeface used in Illustrator contains accents? I'm new to Illustrator and when deciding which typeface to use it is important that it contains all accents (for writing in my native language). I hope it doesn't mean I have to manually select each typeface to check...

Thank you!

Anna

You can use the Glyphs panel. Open it by going to Window > Type > Glyphs. It'll show all the glyphs available for whatever font is selected.

Oh, and if you're on a Windows machine, you can use the Character Map utility.

Inside Illustrator: try the Glyphs panel

Inside your system: if it's a Mac, try Fontbook

On font foundries' websites they should list which language systems are supported.
